Idaho State Board of Education

The Idaho School Safety and Security Program provides technical assistance, training and resources related to school safety at no cost to all publicly funded educational institutions in Idaho. In addition, analysts with the Program conduct safety assessments of each publicly funded school in the State on a three year basis.

Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) is the systematic process of investigating and assessing concerning behaviors. The primary goal of BTAM is to evaluate the difference between making a threat and posing a threat to a school community and then to build a management plan that supports the safety of the entire community.

Securing Our Future Grant Program

Idaho School Safety & Security Program

The Securing Our Future (SOF) Grant Program is a school safety partnership initiative between the Governor’s Office, The Idaho Legislature and the Idaho State Board of Education. The goal of the SOF grants are to fund meaningful, durable and demonstrated effective security improvements in Idaho K-12 schools.
