Office of School Safety (OSS)
The three units of the Office of School Safety support Colorado schools with the School Safety Resource Center providing resources, consultation, training, and technical assistance, the Crisis Response Unit training school personnel in responding to critical incidents and assisting when called upon and the Grants Unit researching and managing grant opportunities for schools.

Safe2Tell
Safe2Tell was founded on the idea that prevention and early intervention is the key to preventing violence and saving lives. The guiding principles of this safety and prevention initiative model include educating young people and school staff on critical issues; encouraging them to play a role in prevention; equipping them with a tangible direct way to report anonymously, while empowering them to make a difference.

Colorado State Patrol K-12 Education Program
The Colorado State Patrol K-12 Education Program aims to educate Colorado students with programs including G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training), Alive at 25 (AA25), ADoD (Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving), Impact Teen Drivers, and Take it to the Track.

Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence (CSPV)
Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence (CSPV) researchers have designed, conducted, and led comprehensive school and community initiatives and research studies that involve working in partnership with schools and communities to strategically select and effectively implement evidence-based programs, practices, and policies using a public health approach to create a world where individuals, families, and schools flourish in communities free from the harms of violence. CSSRC: Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training
This suite of trainings provides educators, school staff, and mental health professionals with educational programs on child sexual development, mandated reporting of child abuse, healthy relationships, cyber safety and digital citizenship, and sexual misconduct in schools.

Healthy Kids Colorado Survey (HKCS) and Colorado Healthy Schools Smart Source (Smart Source), are Colorado’s widely-administered surveys on the health and well-being of young people and school health policies and practices that support youth health. Data from HKCS and Smart Source are complementary and can be used together to provide a more complete picture of youth and school health.

Building Excellent Schools Today (BEST) Grant Program
Colorado Department of Education
Since 2008 BEST has awarded approximately $2.5 billion in grants to more than 525 Colorado schools, improving health, safety and security for nearly 300,000 students.
With funding from The Colorado State Land Board, Colorado Lottery, marijuana excise tax, and local matching dollars, BEST continues to improve Colorado’s educational environments through capital construction projects helping schools to realize CDE's vision that "All students graduate ready for college and careers, and are prepared to be productive citizens of Colorado."

Community groups and organizations with project proposals that comply with the Colorado Kids 1st program.
School Counselor Corps Grant Program
Colorado Department of Education
Colorado’s School Counselor Corps Grant Program (SCCGP) funding is awarded to eligible school districts, BOCES, charter schools or Institute charter schools. The purpose of this program is to increase the availability of effective school-based counseling. Grant funds are also used to increase the level of school counseling services provided to improve the graduation rate and increase the percentage of students who appropriately prepare for, apply to, and continue into postsecondary education.
School Access for Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant Program
Office of School Safety
The School Access for Emergency Response program (SAFER) enacted by SB18-158 provides funding for interoperable communication hardware, software, equipment maintenance, and training to allow for seamless communications between existing school communications systems and first responder communications systems.
