School Safety and Student Services
USBE, in coordination with stakeholders, has made School Safety a board priority. The Utah School Safety Framework includes 9 Conditions that schools may follow to create comprehensive safe and healthy school policies, plans, protocols, and partnerships.

Be Ready Schools focuses on preparing students and schools for potential emergencies and disasters. This preparation includes the most essential elements including a plan and emergency supplies.
Emergency Management
The Department of Emergency Management plays an active role during emergencies and disasters. The Division coordinates emergency management efforts among State agencies, in collaboration with federal and local government. These efforts include preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation.
